It seems like the devil read my lab post…It happened again, a big fight, a big talk, all because I have a brown book with VIDA written on the cover face: my Bible. Once again I was informed they don’t want it here, but if it most remain here, it has to be face down and pushed against the shelf…I was informed that I was told about it before, and that I forget it open sometimes, and that “they” don’t like it…
Coincidently on the same day I had my review which not surprisingly at all, wasn’t too good for me, regardless the extra work I have done, and the new methods I developed…
It turned to a big fight when after listening to all I simply replied: NO
Yes I heard about it before, but I am not going to have it face down and hidden, I also cannot promise to never forget it open. I want to read it as I run samples like everybody here reads whatever reading material they want…
I was then told that I am not everybody….So I said: I want to be treated like every body else, actually, never mind, if my Bible has to go, I’ll go.

Life is ironic, in the same day of this big fight, I was in my car having a wonderful moment with God, just a half hour before all this big commotion I was telling Him, I need not men, I need Him, and that He can supply my all, my beauty, my music, my water, my soul, He is mine to have and to hold, and I don’t want another EVER…how could I just a half hour later agree to be ashamed of Him?
Am I the real Slim Shady? Are you? Would you please stand up?

Certainly if others are allowed to read books while they work than you are within your right. Your boss is nutty to say something with such a double standard. But if you enjoy reading it at work then I would be discrete because if your boss want's to win the argument she can say no more reading any books while on the job. Then everybody loses and your co-workers will blame you. That can be a potentional bad witness. Be careful Slim. I'm sure the coming future will give you plenty of times to make a stand.

LOL No you are not slim shady, you are a woman of God, and what a lady! Slim shady, just a regular angry person at life's issues, who offered no solution. I got what KC above said, pray about it...Ask someone or your pastor, don't be harsh, dont be a simple follower either. You have in your hands a potentially disastrous situation.
